Chimney Sweeping
You should have your chimney swept at least once a year, more often if you use it regularly. We can sweep your chimney, from an open fire or wood burner, whether it is lined or unlined.
We are also able to sweep a range of other appliances such as Aga's & Rayburn's.
We are happy to discuss your individual requirements prior to arranging a visit.
Cre-Away Treatment
Cre-Away can be used to modify third-degree creosote by converting it into a more brittle state that has a different expansion/contraction rate than the flue it is attached to.
During heating and cooling cycles, the treated creosote loses its adhesive properties so it can be more easily removed. Creosote and soot build-up in fireplaces or wood stove chimneys can be a fire hazard if it is not properly cleaned and maintained.
All chimneys should be inspected and/or cleaned annually by a qualified chimney sweep.
Cowl Fitting
Protecting the top of the chimney is an important part of ensuring your chimney is in good working order, and well protected.
Having a correctly fitted cowl will prevent damp coming down the chimney when it rains and also prevent birds from accessing your chimney and building a nest.
If you need more than a cowl, we are able to repair or replace chimney stacks and pots, get in touch for an indiviual quote.
